Croatian G10

Model is from Pierre CHIPOTOVSKY.

Hasegawa 1/32 Bf109 G-10.A rather special bird brought in Northern Italy by a Croatian pilot who defected at the beginning of 1945.An outstanding kit built OOB except the cockpit which is the MDC G-10/G-14 one. This cockpit kit fits perfectly in the G-14 but has to be reworked a lot to stand correctly in the G-10,nothing to worry about. The tail wheel and tank rack are from the MDC range too. This airplane is somewhat special having the long tailwheel and small diameter main wheels and little bumps on the wings. It has the short antenna mast and narrow chord prop blades.Painted in RLM 82/83 greens over 76,the tail band seems to have been overpainted with some dark grey and she wears a yellow cowl band and rudder. You can see remainings of the fuselage crosses under an overpaint, these crosses painted with the help of Eduard Express Masks. The Croatian insignas were painted with masking tape and the red checkers on the tail were printed on clear decal film by Serge Saenen and placed on a white painted background. The Black 4 is a decal coming from the reserve. As usual I used my favourite Gunze acrylic paints.
